Not to be confused with the Wine Company (which I have yet to try)

I never thought I would be a blogger but I'm glad I tried it out. It took sometime to get used to it and now I can't stop. This is about the day to day excitements of being a mom, wife, daughter, friend, or just a plain woman doing her thing.

**Beware I may cuss, so if you think that I might offend you, don't read.
Thanks for reading. Have a nice day!**

Okay so the business with the brand new, now broken car, is driving us nuts. Mainly Spencer since he has to deal with most of it. Okay so he filled a claim under the other guy thing yesterday, and found out that the guy, who hit him, who received a citation from the MP's, stating that he was a fault, and stating that he ran a red light, was telling his insurance company (same insurance as us) that he didn't run a red light. But the funny part is, he told his insurance person, that he got a citation.
*dumbasses everywhere*
Got a call this morning, and thankfully, the car rental place is going to honor the price for the car, so we can keep it. I'll be talking to Spencer in a lil' bit, after he wakes up, about seeing if we can switch. Maybe. I like the rental we got. He received a convertible. Ah, I'm in love. LOL

In all the madness of everything after a year of wishing, hoping, waiting, waiting, and continue to wait. I finally got my car fixed. Sad, took this long, and in order for it to get fixed the new car had to break. Ugh!
Now we are waiting to hear from not only the insurance company, but also the car dealer ship to see when we can get another car. For a moment there yesterday we were only able to receive 95% of the damage payback, which would put us to still pay of what we owe, and until we pay that back, we couldn't get another car. Thankfully we don't have to do that, well, I dunno. Still have to wait to hear from people. Hopefully we can get a new car soon. If we can't get the same car, we are thinking of getting a truck. But hopefully get the same car so we can save on gas mileage.

Hershey the Guinea Pig

We have added a new addition to the family. Hershey.

Opps...lol....got caught ^^^^^^

Craigslist had him up on the Free section. Apparently he's aggressive towards other guinea pigs. So they had to let him go. Not sure on how old he is. This will also be a good thing for Hayden. Something more to interact with other than a fish. Told Hayden that if we get him, he's gonna have to help take care of it. He agreed.

Wam, Bam

I would have posted this yesterday but Blogger was doing an update thingy. Pictures would be up later.

Two days ago our brand new car that we haven't made a single payment on yet got into 2 accidents. The 1st one DH made out to be more than it was. When the other guy was backing out of a parking spot he hit our car (parking lot)

He came home to take his meds, & eat, and then go back to work. I was able to look at the so called scratch that the other guy did, I could barley see it. Well as soon as he got back to work, they sent him home. I thought awesome.

He called me and as soon as he hung up, he stopped at a red light, waited a few seconds and the light turned green. As the safe driver as he is, he waited a few seconds and started to move. A guy, obviously running a red light and obviously speeding, slammed into my husband on the front passenger side & literally F@#$ing up the car. Having the air bags go off. The other guy's car only had bumper damage. (Oh, and he was on the phone, but the cops couldn't prove it)

My husband is a recovering TBI patient (tramatic brain injury), so they took him to the hospital & gave him a CT scan, and it came up clear so sent him home. So now we have 2 claims, and so having the other guys insurance get us a new car. Because this is B.S. Today I've gotta get my car up & running a lil' more & then go deal with our car in the junk yard, take pictures, etc.

Just a fun filled day for me!

Pt.3 Conclusion

So this head injury he had from "his" last jump has effected him badly. This short term memory thing doesn't seem to be getting better. Because of the fact that I was talking to him about Mother's Day being Sunday the day before, and he still forgot. I understand his situation so I'm not pissed off, or angry, I'm just hurt. Like I said on my previous post, my feelings are hurt.
I ended up reminding him after almost half the day (that we've been awake) has passed. I eventually told him that "I was doing NOTHING today"...and he, sounding surprised, "I'm can tell". I asked him if he knew what today was, and he stopped, ducked his head, and mumbled "Shit". He knew.....
He told me he was Sorry, and he felt like an a**hole. I accepted his apology but still didn't forgive him.
I'm not really big on tattle telling on my husband on the internet, but he hurt my feelings. Yes, I know it wasn't my birthday, or our anniversary. But Mother's Day is a big this for me. It's to celebrate me, being a mommy.

(I knew yesterday wasn't gonna turn out good)

Pt. 2

I am not to big on gushing over diamonds or purses. But I expected something, kinda like a Happy Mother's Day dear wife. Since Spencer has been up, ( 2 hours) I haven't gotten any suggestion that he remembers today is Mother's Day. I'm no so much mad at him, but my feelings are hurt.
So far this morning, I have not been able to sleep in, where he has. I have bagged up the trash, unloaded & loaded the dishwasher, told my son to do multiple things. And for what, nothing to be appreciated. This is my day to be appreciated & I'm getting the complete opposite. I'm not expecting bubble baths, back massage, breakfast in bed, etc, but a simple Happy Mother's Day. But so far, nothing, but a headache.

Happy Mother's Day to me.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Now if real life can only be like this, my Mother's Day would be amazing. Hahahaha, not gonna happen.
But I want to wish all the Mom's, Mommy's, Mommies, Mother's, To-Be's.....A Happy Mother's Day!! Ya'll are all great in my book.

Before I was a Mom

I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night .

I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep .

I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom .

I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy .

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.

May you always be overwhelmed by the Grace of God rather than by the cares of life.

Justice Has Come

So the time has finally come. 10 years, 2 wars, 919,967 deaths & $1,188,263,000,000 & we managed to kill the one person who started it all. Last night as I was heading to bed, I did one last look at my Facebook on my phone, as I always do. I noticed people's statuses stating that Bin Laden has been killed. I thought, is this a joke?! So I jumped off my phone & switched to the computer. Yup, everyone's statuses were saying that. Went to Yahoo, and noticed that it was the Breaking News. Spencer turned on the T.V. to CNN (i think) and we confirmed it once again.

As a military wife, I feel very, very strongly about this. Not only am I happy that he's dead, but families of the 9/11 Victims finally have Justice. And Yes, Justice is the correct word, no where in the sense cheesy. Yes, the war is not over, and yes it took 10 years to get to this point but it's one step closer to a long road. A lot of lives were lost on 9/11, and a lot of more lives were lost during the war, but now those families can rest in peace knowing that the one person who started this whole mess, causing those deaths, is finally dead. And I believe that it is something to celebrate.

Yes, it is possible that someone will take his place. But we just proved that Justice will be answered for. And if anyone who tries to do this again, you will be caught, you will be punished for it, and you will die.

Here is a poem I guess you would call it, that I copied from one of my Facebook friends. I thought it was really neat.

"Now I lay me down to sleep, one less terrorist this world does keep. With all my heart, I give my thanks, to those in uniform regardless of ranks. You serve our country and serve it well, with humble hearts your stories tell. So as I rest my weary eyes, while freedom rings our flag still flies. You give your all, do what you must... with God we live and God we trust, Amen

Easter was somewhat of a success. Spencer slept half the day, while I cooked. Nothing special since it's just the 3 of us. Ham, Salad with fruit, Pineapple Slices, & of course my Banana Pudding. Then I set up the eggs in the backyard. The dogs helped hide the eggs by laying on them. LOL

As of right now, Spencer is playing his video games, the new "Mortal Kombat". LOL Hayden is cheering him on. So cute. Also today is raining.

Me: I'm trying to finish before it rains
Spencer: It's not gonna rain
*hour later* *thunder* *pouring rain*
Spencer: Okay you win

I love winning. :) I mean come on, dark clouds, wind blowing cool air....that's all the makings of rain coming. At least we were able to mow the grass before it happened. It was just really funny that he says it's not gonna rain.

Banana Pudding!

I just wanted to share my latest creation....

Banana Pudding!!! YUM!!
The recipe & how I made it is on my food section.....

4 Years Togther!! ♥

Okay so this morning was an interesting way to start off our 4th Wedding Anniversary. Around 1am, Spencer was coming to bed, & heard a gunshot, and Rebecca barked. At first I didn't realize Spencer heard anything so I told Rebecca to shut up so I can go back to sleep. Spencer then got up, grabbed his shotgun, & went outside to check it out. After a few minutes I got up, (still not realizing what's going on), I went outside & there's like 6-7 cop cars on our street.
3 teenagers, breaking curfew, thought it would be smart to shoot at a cop, instead of getting in trouble by breaking curfew. 2 of the teenagers were caught but the 3rd one ran while shooting at an Officer. An hour later, the side of my house & 3 houses were Yellow Taped to find the rounds & the missing gun. By the time they left, & I went back to bed, they found the gun. Apparently the teenager dropped it when it jammed. Still have no clue if the other teenager was caught but glad it's over.

With all that said....

I LOVE YOU SPENCER!! HAPPY 4TH ANNIVERSARY!!

OMG TORNADO!!!

Well this day started okay, but became quit interesting. Started off by me cleaning out the garage, which was surprisingly successful, then Spencer get "my" car to work, and up to the repair shop to finish, then off to the movies to see HOP. Which by the way was really funny. Once the credits came on they cut the sound, and I guess the manager spoke, and let us know that we had a tornado warning. Hmmm....well I knew we were getting rain, and while I was cleaning the garage we had bad wind. When we were heading out we heard a couple people talk saying that one touched down 2 blocks away (from the theater).
Once we got home Spencer got a call from one of his work buddies asking if they could stay the night because 1. their power was out and 2. a couple houses down from them got torn through. So we got cleaning out the spare room. We needed to do that anyways but still. But if you think about it, I finally got Spencer to help me clean, and I didn't have to ask. Hehehehe!
So now we wait.....

Edit:
Here are some photos I stole from the local news website:

These 2 photos are the weather conditions....
Here is some damage.....
These last 2 photos "WAS" a Lowes in Sanford about an hour from us.

J'aime the Extreme Coupon Diva - As Featured on TLC Extreme Couponing

I'm thinking I'm gonna start coupon-ing. This woman had a $1,900 grocery bill and only paid $103! I don't mind spending hours clipping if I save this much money!

April 11, 2011

This weekend was fun. Saturday we went to take Hayden to see the Easter Bunny. Not the best phone picture below, but it works. I think the picture itself came out great!
Also tried to see the movie HOP, but got side-tracked with the new Putt-Putt next to the movie theater. We played a few games & took Hayden on the Go-Kart track. He just now was able to ride passenger. So Spencer took Hayden & I rode by myself. Spencer taunted me saying I wouldn't be able to pass him. So I took his challenge & on the 2nd to last lap, I proved him wrong. And of course as every man, they don't want to admit that they lost.

Sunday, we went fishing early in the morning. Of course I had fun. Hayden was able to catch 3 fish, I caught 4 fish, and poor little Spencer caught 1. Hahaha! But I still love him.

I don't like folding you...

Ooh pile of clean clothes sitting in the corner waiting to be folded, why can't you fold yourself?
It's like a never ending basket. Just when I think I'm done, for at least a day, some how it's back to where it was. Either we are REALLY clean, or REALLY dirty, haven't figured that one out yet. I spent all day yesterday cleaning the living room & the kitchen, and a load of laundry(wash), but I just did not want to tackle the pile of clothes. I don't want to do it, but I think I've got to today.

Well everyone has been wondering what's up with me & the Avon business. Well, I think I'm going to stay with it a little bit longer. The economy is picking up, so is the customers. As almost every other business out there, I had a little trouble getting started. In the past month, my customer base has picked up. We need a little bit extra money, and it's fun to do. When I was little, as every little girl, I was big into makeup. But as I went into Intermediate & High School, it got better, but as a popularity boost, it was needed. So I learned from friends, and now I'm learning from other wonderful Avon Reps. Click Here For My Avon or you can Click up on the top left, next to my other links.

It was really weird last night, some weirdo from Michigan County Jail called the house phone. Obviously it was a wrong number since the only people we gave it to was my mother & doctor offices. So the 1st, two times this dude called, I ignored it. The 3rd time, Spencer was home, so he answered the call, and apparently the weirdo guy, was looking for a guy, so he can look for another to guy, who is supposed to bail him out. Whatever! If the person hasn't bailed you out yet, means they aren't.

And finally after 3+ months shopping for a car, with good gas mileage, we got one! We ended up having to Co-sign with my dad again, since my credit is CRAP! But working on that. Thanks Dad!! We Love You! But here is our NEW CAR!Why yes!, It is Orange. Sorry for the darkness of the picture. But it was getting dark when Spencer got home.

Baby All About It

Okay I've come to the point where I need to make this public. At first only a few people knew but now I think it's time. We are currently
Trying To Have Another Baby!!
It's been hard to keep this secret for a long time. We have been trying for over a year, and we just currently gone to the Doctor to find out why it's taking so long.

Now people out there please, please, please keep in mind that trying to have a baby & being unsuccessful is a emotional thing. So when talking about babies, do not say anything like, "Why haven't you given me another grandchild?", or "When are you going to get pregnant?", and comments like "You can try it this way!", or Have you tried doing this?".
It's not always easy to get pregnant, and please you need to realize that, everyone is not fertile myrtle out there. It's not like that one time mistake that happens when your 16, there is a lot of timing, and medical stuff that goes along with it.
And PLEASE do not tell me about how you, your friend, or your family member got pregnant, or why they didn't get pregnant.
1. I don't know them.
2. I've looked up & tried everything
3. Each woman is different when it comes to getting pregnant.
4. Not to seem rude, but I truthfully don't care.

So in conclusion, I have made a separate blog telling on how I'm doing in the baby making business. If you would like to Follow that blog you can simply CLICK HERE Or Click on the link to your left labeled Baby All About It. There you will be able to find out my daily/weekly status, find out hopefully good information.
So stay tuned for more information.....lol

Fishing for something...

Yesterday I went fishing with the boys. Hayden had a blast, but as every other 3 year old's out there, after a while he started to loose interest. Spencer was able to catch 2 fish but had to give them away. I almost caught one on Hayden's pole but got loose, and Hayden he was just happy to be there and watch daddy. It was funny the 1st one he caught normally, but the 2nd one, the line broke as he was reeling it in, he caught. He was really happy.

About 30 minutes before we left, I noticed that my shoulder's were getting a little red. Until we got home did I realize that I was cooked, with my tank-top tan line. But thanks to Spencer he's treating me with some Aloe Vera.

On Friday, we went and saw Rango! Hayden seemed to like it. But sadly I was more into it than him. LOL Guess that's the kid in me. Ha! Plus having Johnny Depp as a cartoon character was a must see.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Green Day! Nothing special planned for today. Spencer is working but will be off tomorrow & of course have the weekend off. Tonight I will be keeping it simple with pizza & the beer Spencer plans on having. Since I don't like beer, I will be asking him to pick something up on the way home for me. Movie night, game night...nothing special. This is the day that I wish we had our Texas friends here to celebrate.

March 8, 2011

This morning I had to take Spencer to work, so I could have the car for a doctor appointment. Which I will tell you about the "so many" doctor appointments soon, just not yet. Would've left Hayden at home but Kristen & Ryan moved out last night into their own apartment. Happy for them, but just needed them here one more night...lol. On the way home from dropping off Spencer I went to Starbucks & tried order & I couldn't even say the name of the coffee. That just proves that I really do need it.
This past weekend we failed sooo much on getting a new car. We went and tried to look at a Ford dealership, the Used Car that we could afford, we didn't get approved, and the New Car that we got approved for we couldn't afford. These gas prices are getting ridiculous and that's whats breaking us. The Jeep that we have is going through gas like water, and we are filling up 2-3 times a week and costing us around $50-$60 bucks each time. We can't afford it. $3.50- $3.60 for gas....If we can't either fix the damn prices for gas or find a better car I'm about to buy a horse...lol...or an electric car.Why can't we go back to the day where it ONLY takes $10-$15 to fill up?!
RIP Linda Harrison, you were such a great person, & will never be forgotten. Lots of Love being sent to Becca Harrison & family :(

March 1, 2011

Needed to post this before the recipe. But 2 weeks ago, Spencer went out into the field and jumped out a perfectly good airplane. Why these men do this stuff, I don't know. But anywho, I got a call around midnight from the Army Hospital. My first thought was CRAP. Don't worry he's fine. When he jumped a cord got tangled from his chute and he hit the ground a little hard, with his head. They rushed him to the hospital, did all kinds of tests on him before they called me. I showed up and about 2 hours later I was able to take him home. At first, he's been groggy, and on pain meds., work didn't believe him at first, thought he was faking the pain, but now they believe him. He still getting some headaches, and starting to get dizzy. I told him if it gets worse he needs to go to the ER, a head injury is not something to mess with.
Sorry for the lack of blogging but...
I have been playing with this little bug and I have nothing witty to say.

It's like pulling a dump truck with dental floss...

I am soo happy! 2 steps out of 3 that I wanted done today.
1. Disposal---Check
2. Dishwasher---Check
3. Kitchen table---NO
I went through months of searching for the perfect table for the kitchen. I got Spencer to take me to the store this morning to order it, NOPE, they raised the prices, even tho they had a sale. I couldn't believe it, I was not about to pay over $1,000 for a table. $800 max...so now I'm searching again, but trying to get Spencer to help me agree on it, is like pulling a dump truck with dental floss, it ain't gonna happen.
But I am getting my new disposal and dishwasher, and actually getting it delivered tomorrow morning. Just in time for the Super Bowl.

February 4, 2011

It must be mating season...

This morning outside our house there are dozens of Robins outside. Mainly seem to be males, since I see their orange bellies. This first picture here is just an 1/8th of the birds that are outside the house.

Maybe this is a sign that it's gonna start warming, I hope so. Because obviously the groundhog saw his shadow considering that this blizzard up north.

DUCT TAPE!!

I'm watching a few episodes of Myth-Busters on Netflix, and they got to a Duct Tape episode. They made a boat completely made out of duct tape, also a cannon, they lifted a car with duct tape. (Just for reference for those who are curious it's Season 6, Episode 9)

So this got to me thinking, what can you make out of duct tape? So just for fun, send me a picture, or link of something of what can you, someone, or something you've seen made out of duct tape that you thought was amazing and/or unique. I've seen wallets, purses, iPod covers, book covers, even cups. But I want to see more!

My $100 Hair Straightner!!

This weekend was interesting, I had to go to Defensive Driving Class, it was also funny. The teacher that I had actually put humor into the lesson, which made it go by faster. At the beginning of the class he stated that everyone is here just to get the ticket dismissed, but I went for just a laugh, and said, "This is my vacation out of the house, I get to have a babysitter for 4 hours". LOL Had Spencer and Hayden come by and bring me brunch. Now I've gotta get a N.C. license.
Get home and wanted to kill the dog. (Just note I love animals, it's just an expression) Rebecca, my 65-70 lbs Chocolate Lab ATE MY $100 HAIR STRAIGHTENER!!!! OMG, I wouldn't have cared so much but for that it was $100! Maybe a $30, $20, even those cheapy $10 ones but $100....I was so mad. She also ate the bathroom rug, which I don't care about since we are remodeling the bathroom anyways, just gives me an excuse to go shopping. :)

On another note, I had to clean out the spare room, we are having some guests stay with us for a while. Spencer's buddy from work and his fiance. At least for a month I think, while they search for a house around here since she can't stay in the barracks, also she's 2 months pregnant, so I'm not about to throw a pregnant person out on the street. He will be coming tonight and be picking her up tomorrow from the airport. Can't remember where she is from.

Looks like stuff is starting to look up.

January 13, 2011

Same Ol' Same

Monday it snowed a really good amount, not sure on how much we got but it covered my tennis shoe. We couldn't make a snowman due to it was so powdery but we were able to make snow angels and throw snow at each other. I got pegged in the face a few times from Spencer and I told him I would get revenge. But I wouldn't say when or how, but I will. (*evil laugh*) Hayden had a blast with it this year, last year he wasn't to sure about it, but this year he still wants to play in it. But for now it's almost all melted.

Nothing else that's new on this end, Spencer goes to work, I stay at home and Hayden runs a muck, hyper and walking on the ceiling. He's definitely a healthy and strong 3 year old, that likes to cause mommy with the need to pull out her hair. I am sooo ready for it to warm up outside so I can send him & the dogs out in the back. And also complete some outside construction work that I didn't get to finish last year.
Wow I can't believe that in March we will be home owners for a full year.

GoodBye 2010

Only 6 days late, lol, but goodbye 2010 you were no fun what so ever. Things like no job, no car, somewhat slowly going in debt, but also not. And most of all the loss of my brother. As I know that 2011 cannot bring him back I hope...more so wish that this New Year is 100x better.

Some New Year's resolutions include:
1. Along everyone else, being more active.
2. Paint the kitchen & bathroom
3. Save money
4. Organize
5. I will spend less than one hour a day on the Internet. This, of course, will be hard to estimate since I'm not a clock watcher.
6. Cut down on junk food (aka Hot Cheetos)
7. Cut down on sodas (aka Dr. Pepper)

Basically my resolutions are the same as everyone else. But as to seeing through them, now that's going to be a talent. And lots of patience. I see maybe half of the them following through.
